Rising Authors

The member of the ‘watercomilk’ team cum rising author, Mr. Mohd Atif Zargar started his educational journey from a remote village of Jammu by completing his high school education from Green Model Academy Bhadarwah, Doda,  Jammu, India in the year 2009 followed by the completion of his Higher Secondary study from Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School Bhadarwah, Jammu, India, in the year 2011. Then he has completed his Under-Graduate education in Medical from G.G.M. Science College, Jammu, India, in the year 2017. He completed his Post-Graduate in Zoology from Arni University, Kathgarh, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India, in 2019.

During his Post-Graduate degree, he did his Post-Graduate dissertation work on “Study on Fish Population at Gummat Fish Market, Jammu Division, India” under the supervision of Dr. Arup Giri, former Assistant Professor of Arni University. The study reported that during the summer season population of fish species is maximum and in winter fish population was decreased due to very low temperatures in winter months as the temperature affecting the basic metabolic rate in fish.

He published his Post-Graduate dissertation research work as a joint first author in the International Journal of Aquaculture and Fishery Sciences in 2020. The title of his published article is “A Survey on Fish Population Availability in Different Season in Northern India.”

He has published four abstracts (1, 2, 3, 4) as a co-author which has been published in different conference proceedings.

The member of the ‘watercomilk’ team cum rising author, Miss Kriti Sharma, started her educational journey from a remote village of Jammu by completing her high school education from S. D. Memorial Public Hr. Sec. School, Karwanda (Bhalwal), Jammu, India in the year 2012 followed by the completion of her Higher Secondary study from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Mubarak Mandi, Jammu, India, in the year 2014. Then she has completed her Under-Graduate education in Medical from Govt. College for Women Parade, Jammu, India, in the year 2017. She completed her Post-Graduate in Zoology from Arni University, Kathgarh, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India, in 2019.

During her Post-Graduate degree, she did her Post-Graduate dissertation work on “Effects of Fasting on Boy’s Physiology and Saliva Quality: A case study” under the supervision of Dr. Arup Giri, former Assistant Professor of Arni University. The study reported that during fasting, the antioxidant power of the saliva reduced to combat with the developed stress.

The abstract of this study was published in the proceedings of National Conference on Appropriate Technological Interventions & Skills for Enhancing Income levels and Reducing Vulnerability to Acquire Socio-Economic Stress Among Rural and Semi-Urban Communities in North-Western Himalayas Organized by Department of Zoology, Career Point University, Hamirpur (H.P.), India during 8^th – 9^th November 2019.

Before her dissertation work, she has presented a poster on “Human Saliva as A Potent Antioxidant Agent: A Review” at 3^rd Himachal Pradesh Science Congress on “Rural Upliftment Through Science & Technology Interventions” at Indian Institute of Technology, Kamand Campus, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh during 22^nd –23^rd October 2018.

Kriti is also the co-author in two published abstracts (1, 2).

She also published one article entitled “Effects of Exercise and Game on Boy’s Physiology and Salivary Antioxidant Properties” in the European Journal of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences as a co-author in 2020.

During her Post-Graduate degree, she won first prize in quiz contest competition on the ‘Science Day’ in 2018 at Arni University, Kathgarh, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India.

Another member of the ‘watercomilk’ team cum rising author, Miss Mussarat Choudhary has completed her higher studies from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School, Poonch, Jammu, India in 2014. Earlier, she has completed her school education from M.H.S.D.A.V Public School, Poonch, Jammu, India in the year 2012. Then she got an Under-Graduate degree from Govt. Degree College, Poonch, Jammu, India in 2017

Miss Mussarat Choudhary has completed her Post-Graduate degree in Zoology from Arni University, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India in 2019.

During her Post-Graduate, she completed her dissertation work on “Evaluation of physico-chemical and antioxidant properties of dairy cows milk in two different seasons in Jammu division, India” under the supervision of Dr. Arup Giri, former Assistant Professor of Arni University.

Her above Post-Graduate dissertation work was published as a full-length conference paper at a national conference organized by the Department of Zoology, Career Point University, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh in 2019.

She has also published one abstract as a co-author at National Seminar on “Interface between Basic Science Research, Modern Technology and Environmental Sustainability” at School of Applied Sciences, Sri Sai University, Palampur, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, India on 03^rd May, 2019. The title of the abstract is “Effects of Organic Manure on Cauliflower (Brassica oleracea var. botrytis) Yield in Himachal Pradesh, India.”
